Creating a national safety brand with Smoke Alarms Australia and Landlord Compliance

In another significant collaboration, Reunion is working with Smoke Alarms Australia (SAA) and Landlord Compliance (LLC) to build a unified brand that supports property managers, investors and homeowners as safety standards rise. SAA has been keeping properties compliant since 2005 and has completed more than 2.9 million jobs with over 19 years of experience. Its highly trained team is trusted to get compliance right. Landlord Compliance manages entire rental portfolios and discovers that more than half of properties it services for the first time are not smoke‑alarm compliant. Beyond smoke alarms, LLC checks corded window coverings, residual‑current devices and water‑efficiency standards, helping landlords stay ahead of a growing list of obligations.

Across Australia, new laws are placing greater accountability on those responsible for properties. Queensland’s regulations, for example, require interconnected, Australian‑standard alarms in new and renovated dwellings and will extend to all homes by 2027. Similar standards are emerging in other states, shifting safety from a box‑ticking exercise to a core responsibility. For property managers and investors this means partnering with providers who have scale, experience and the ability to communicate clearly with residents.

Reunion’s task is to translate SAA and LLC’s combined expertise into a brand presence and customer experience that speaks to equally to property managers, property investors and everyday residential home owners. We will position the unified brand as a trusted guide, simplifying compliance while emphasising the human outcome: safer homes and peace of mind. Drawing on SAA’s millions of completed inspections and LLC’s comprehensive services, the narrative will celebrate the companies’ deep heritage in home safety and their readiness to meet new legislative demands.

“As safety expectations evolve, so do the opportunities for brands that genuinely protect people and their homes,” Justin Hind notes. “By bringing Smoke Alarms Australia and Landlord Compliance together under one national banner, we can help property managers, investors and homeowners navigate the changes while reinforcing the value of proactive compliance.”

This project underscores Reunion’s ability to connect strategic thinking with creative execution, turning complex regulatory shifts into clear stories that resonate across the market.
